Queens Diamond Jubilee Weekend Celebrations

Over the weekend of 2/3/4 June the club are holding various activities to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee:

Saturday 2nd June - the club are holding a Jubilee Celebration dinner (1930 for 2000) with a live Band "Redwing" playing music through the decades with a three course meal, tickets priced at £19.50 and available from Yvonne Spurrell on 0161 483 8316.

Sunday 3rd June the Football Section are holding a 5 a side competition along with a real ale festival which continues on Monday 4th (or for as long as the ale lasts!). Sunday evening there is a live band on in the clubhouse and various activities during the day, including a bounce castle and food throughout the day with a BBQ (subject to the weather!). 

Monday 4th June the club are hosting a Free Community event throughout the evening with a live band "Under the Wire", a BBQ and the clubhouse bar facilities available throughout the evening. The event will culminate in the lighting of the Poynton Beacon (as part of the national beacon lighting) between 2200 & 2230.

Club Walks

Take place on the first Sunday of each month leaving the club car park at 1030 hrs and returning at about 1315 hrs. The walk is about 5 miles long and there is a Sunday Roast available, cooked by our Chef Jean-Louis on your return.
