As we move further down the path of a relaxation in the guidance around social distancing it’s great to see a gradual increase in sporting activity at the club – albeit mostly around practice and training sessions at the moment. We are also fully aware that recent government announcements will encourage further relaxations to be permitted which will no doubt be issued in the form of updates from each of the relevant sports bodies. Who knows, in the non-too distant future we may be able to get some competitive sport underway! We await appropriate updates from sections as and when current protocols and practices need to be updated.
Due to the increasing demand for access to the club we are opening the main club gates from Monday 29th June to enable those taking part in sporting activities to utilise the car parking facilities. We would ask all members to park as close to their sporting activities as possible and to ensure that social distancing etiquette is followed at all times.
We are also undertaking a detailed review of the currently issued guidance that relates to pubs, club etc. being able to open. Work is underway to evaluate how this can happen, the trialling of different configurations within the club, undertaking of appropriate cleaning, providing appropriate sanitising products etc. We will be looking to open the clubhouse as soon as is practical once these works have been performed and approved and will issue a further update once a safe opening date can be determined.
Once again, we thank all our members for their patience and support and we look forward to seeing you all in the clubhouse again soon!
